Reasons for iOS & Android Apps Getting Rejected

There are several reasons why iOS and Android apps may get rejected during the app submission process. Here are some of the most common reasons

For iOS

Violation of App Store Guidelines

Apple has a strict set of guidelines that all apps must follow. If an app violates any of these guidelines, it may be rejected. Common violations include inappropriate content, poor user experience, and non-compliance with data privacy regulations.

Privacy Policy: This is a must-have when you host an app on App Store. Check out this link <link> to see the whole instructions.

Profanity: Profanity or adult content is not allowed in the description.

Adult/Explicit Content, Adult Toys: Apple's policy would get your app rejected if Adult content or toys are found in the description or the app itself. Make sure your app does not contain explicit images or words.

Tobacco and CBD products: Apple strictly prohibits tobacco and CBD products, that's why any app containing products related to such items gets rejected. Remove products related to this reference from all information in your app.

Spam: Check for spam on the app and remove them.

Incomplete Information

Apple requires developers to provide detailed information about their app, including app descriptions, screenshots, and metadata. If this information is incomplete or inaccurate, it may result in rejection.

Improper Description Format: Ensure that the description provides clear information about the selling purpose of the app instead of stories on how the business started or someone else personal history. Additionally, make sure the app name does not include in the description.

Incomplete Sentences/ Improper Formatting in the Description: Edit grammar and format errors in your description.

Repetitive Words in the Description: Make sure the description does not contain repetitive words. Simply remove or rephrase them while setting up the Store listing.

Technical Issues

If an app contains bugs, crashes frequently, or has poor performance, it may be rejected. It's important to thoroughly test your app before submitting it to the App Store.

Terms and Condition Page Not Loading: Make sure the link of Terms and conditions page on your website is working.

Team Name Not Matching The App Name/ Authorization Issues: All you have to do is provide an authorization letter stating the app belongs to you with your signature.

Checkout Issues: Go to your Shopify dashboard and check if your products are available on OneMobile.

Web View Present on the App: Remove or edit the web links for product categories with proper category links during customization. Also, make sure that the products are available for OneMobile.

For Android
